Watch What You Wish For

A few weeks ago, Mary Jane was complaining about all of the money she was spending to purchase Internet packages for her blog postings.  Carolyn copied down what she said, “I’m running out of money for the Internet.  We’re going to have to start taking shore excursions that we don’t enjoy so I won’t have to post so many photos and use so many words to describe our adventures.” She certainly got her “wish” when we went on the yellow Sindbad submarine in Safaga, Egypt.  Much fanfare leading up to the “dive,” and we received a certificate after our journey was completed.  The problem was that the reef was dead; and tiny fish appeared only when the divers, outside of the sub, fed them.  We have attached photos of the only “fish” we thought worthy of inclusion.

Cheers from Carolyn!

Sounds Fishy to me! What a trip and what great trip and what super photography. Thanks for providing vicarious travel for me. When we crossed the Strait of Aden, our ship was covered by 2 Israeli helicopters above; a British destroyer on one side; and an American on the other. Also, armed men with very short haircuts and others in Arabic dress boarded. Had a big noisemaker onboard too. As a former speech & hearing therapist I was pleased that we didn’t have to cause any pirates to go deaf. Look forward to seeing you soon! Barbara
