South Luangwa National Park in Zambia

We were up very early in the morning for our second day on safari in Zambia. Our game driver took us to see the pride of lions that inhabits the Chichele area of the South Luangwa National Park. Then, about 11 AM, we watched a parade of elephants as they approached the waterhole for a drink and a therapeutic mud bath before seeking shade in the middle of the day. Giraffes we had watched earlier in the morning grazing on treetops also ventured down to the waterhole for a long drink.
